What Driver CPC courses do we offer?

Driver Compliance - DCPC 7 hour session

To help drivers understand the standards an operator must adhere to, and to ensure they are fully aware of the importance of compliance and how they can contribute to their organisation being both compliant and competitive.  Also, that drivers understand what they must do to maintain vehicle safety, improve fuel-efficiency and reduce emissions.

Driver Essentials (Drivers Hours) - DCPC 7 hour session

To ensure drivers know and understand how EU, Domestic and Working Time legislation applies to them, and the wider issue of incidents caused by drivers not resting properly.  Furthermore, they are proficient in the use of tachograph equipment and understand the importance of keeping track of their own work and rest periods.

Customer Care & Looking After Yourself - DCPC 7 hour session

To ensure drivers know the effects alcohol, drugs, diet, sleep and general well-being have on their ability to drive safely.  Also, that they will understand the importance of their role in customer relations, customer retention, and the security of the vehicles they use.

Traffic Law, Incidents & Vulnerable Road Users - DCPC 7 hour session

To ensure drivers have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of UK traffic laws, enforcement agencies, incident procedure and reporting, how to deal with being first on the scene, and how to drive with due care and consideration for vulnerable road users.

Dangerous Driving Conditions and Health & Safety - DCPC 7 hour session

Dangerous driving conditions aim to ensure drivers are fully aware of the risks they face at work and how to minimize those risks. To ensure drivers understand how vehicle control and driving style can improve vehicle safety, reduce the likelihood of workplace incidents, improve fuel efficiency, and reduce emissions.

The H&S section looks at raising awareness regarding the rules and undertakings that apply in the workplace with respect to health & safety and mental health. Highlighting the importance of teamwork, this course is also full of useful pointers and tips to help professional drivers keep safe whilst carrying out their daily duties.
