Fleet Maintenance Awareness Training
Understand your obligations under an operator licence.
This course focuses on “cause & effect”, examining your obligations under your
operator licence issued by the Traffic Commissioner.
The procedures & processes covered during this course are useful for
operators, drivers, and all responsible for operating, maintaining and providing
commercial & light goods vehicles.
This is a one-day course, which can be held online or in class.
Course Content
The course covers the main compliance areas.
The session covers the following subjects:
Operator Licence
Roles & responsibilities of the TM (maintenance focus)
PMI’s & Frequencies
Driver walkaround checks (defect management)
Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS)
Desk based assessments/remote enforcement
PG9’s
Enforcement sanctions (revocation, suspension & curtailment)
Roller brake testing
Each delegate receives a series of course notes, which is a useful reference tool to help them work better and within the rules.
At the end of the session, delegates are asked to complete a questionnaire that assesses their understanding of each section covered. This can be fed back to line managers or HR if required.
Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance for the session.
